Is it possible to work effectively on foreign freelance exchanges with poor English?

Is it possible to work effectively on foreign freelance exchanges with an English level below intermedia?
How can you get out of this situation?
And what is the desired minimum language threshold?
PS Maybe someone will advise another site where you can check your language level)

@rgamretsky

@rgamretsky I started a year ago with English clearly lower than intermediate (and even now it is unlikely to be higher than this level). I also wrote all the letters with Google Translate at first. In the process, I got used to it, worked out a little with LinguaLeo, I can write without a dictionary for a long time. The language itself is pumped in the process of correspondence.
Do not listen to phrases like "effective - no" about the relationship between efficiency and language. Your client may be an "American" who moved to the US about 5 years ago, and whose written English is worse than yours (I have a similar situation now). You can receive a couple of short letters a day, and speak calmly. And make money.
Of course, the language needs to be improved, this will help you better sell yourself and express yourself. But, believe me, you are unlikely to have to write poems and huge texts, so there is no threshold. Most importantly, do not despair in situations where your language has confused someone. These are usually 5-10%. The rest, especially the Americans, are quite tolerant of jambs in the language. Since they themselves write not at all academically.

It will be difficult to work effectively with bad English. I'll have to compensate with something: skills, charisma and a great desire :)
Really, in my opinion, the level of English proficiency for effective work with foreigners should be something like this :
How can you quickly pull up at least an applied workspace of knowledge of the English language, wrote here .
