There is a Rostelecom Sagemcom 2804 router (not rev.1, the one that is white).
Is there an option to install a torrent client on it and download torrents without the participation of the PC, while dropping them on the HDD connected to the same router.
Naturally, it is necessary to preserve the functionality of the TV that goes through it to the set-top box.
dd-wrt, as I understand it, disappears. Bonus question: is it possible to somehow pick up Airplay
on the Rostelecom set-top box (SML-282 HD Base, review on Habré )?

No, unfortunately.
On the 1st question - only losing the functionality of the TV, although on the other hand, if you have an apple tv with jailbreak - just fill in the playlist file for your region in xmbc, it will work like a Rostelecom set-top box, then you can do anything with the router.
On the 2nd question - not at all. I really want to, but it's easier to teach television to apple tv.
