Is it possible to set up neighbor wi-fi for yourself?

My wi-fi settings are messed up. I suspect that it could be done by a neighbor.
How can you protect yourself from such hacks?
Rostelecom provider.

Using the wire that is in the entrance is unlikely. If I reset it, then only by connecting to it via wifi, or knowing the ip of your router (unlikely). And the fact that the settings on the router have gone astray is a classic problem of cheap routers. If you want to protect the router from outsiders, then put a complex password on the admin panel and on wifi. Definitely different. Update the firmware to a new one. Close telnet and ssh on the router, if any, and close access to the web interface from outside.

Do you have exactly the same router as in the photo?
Most likely, the settings were not knocked down by a neighbor, but by a crooked update from Rostelecom using the TR-069 protocol .
And if you have a router made of white and gray plastic with the eci b-focus marking, then it itself is one big bug. When the power is turned off, its firmware loses all user parameters.
