Is it possible to set the default pdf view mode on a site?

Hello!
The site visitor clicks on the link, after which the pdf opens in the browser.
Is it possible to set the default document display type on the site side?
Namely, it is necessary to "fit the page to the size of the window", that is, so that 1 page of the document fits into 1 browser screen, both in width and height.
It is clear that it still depends on the browser settings of the site visitor, but I would like to designate the "preferred" option for opening the document for the browser.
Website in php
Thank you.

The browser behavior has been changed in the new FireFox. Now, if a PDF viewer is installed in the system, it will be launched, and not the built-in viewer.
