Is it possible to send mass e-mail from your own domain with your own equipment?

I have a domain, and iron under smtp - imap server. I need to torment clients by sending out all sorts of garbage. I want to raise the mail server, but there is one BUT. There is no option to change the PTR record in the domain settings. Those. support says it can't be changed. The crux of the matter is that having a registered domain, I would like to set up a mail server on my hardware with unlimited messaging. Tell me in which direction to dig, and is it possible? What settings to dig? what to ask? What is required from the registrar?

did you take only a domain name or also dns servers to run mail services, web sites and other goodies on your server?

If the hardware is in the data center, and it should be there, or if you rent equipment, then you are allocated an ip address (s). The service provider is responsible for the allocated ip address, namely the data center where your equipment is located or you rent it. At the request of the client, the technical support employee changes the PTR record to the ip address you have chosen from the ones provided for rent to you along with the colocation/dedicated service.
This has nothing to do with the DNS server of the registrar, only with the DNS server of the data center, since PTR records are maintained by the DNS server of the data center. Records in the registrar's DNS are needed mainly only for A/AAAA, MX, CNAME, TXT records and no more, and are not relevant to your case. To send messages normally, at least a PTR record is required, and at a maximum it is a DKIM signature and an SFP record.
Regarding the legal / from. faces! There is no difference to anyone who has something in terms of sending messages. Only if you provide services on a paid basis, then you must pay taxes, and this is either filing documents and paying taxes as an individual, or as an individual entrepreneur, or as an LLC, or the article "tax evasion"

In order for the PTR record to match the host name, you need to contact the provider from which you buy the service - Internet access.
Many providers used to shy away from the words PTR from physical. faces, their behavior was always incomprehensible to me.
For legal entities, an application was required.
At ER-Telecom, any physicist (not advertising) can set the PTR on their own through the personal account.
In your case, I would have acted differently, I would have bought an inexpensive VPS that I would have set up, saved the settings (conf files for quickly deploying another VPS =)) and made it a smart host for your "spam" server.
