Is it possible to run Selenium unit tests on Ubuntu?

good day, dear automators. did anyone manage to run selenium java tests in ubuntu? I recorded a test case, everything works great from Selenium IDE. added jUnit test to java project. solved all necessary dependencies. when launched, it gives an error connecting to firefox "Failed to connect to binary FirefoxBinary(/usr/bin/firefox", although the firefox window itself still opens
