Is it possible to run a php file in Vue without starting an additional server?

I added a publicphp file to access it and get some data, but it fetchreturns only a text format, just the data is displayed in text, json is not transmitted. Is it possible at all?

No, php is executed before the page leaves in response to a request to the server. Executes it (php file) server. The browser can't do that.
