Is it possible to revive the PC myself, with the following problem?

Yesterday, while making a presentation and an essay on my studies, while watching a series, my computer froze. I tried to close all the windows - it was not possible, I closed the lid, because it worked on the old laptop. As a result, the sound of the series was heard when the lid was opened, it was clear that the laptop did not go into sleep mode.
After I turned it off and turned it on again:
1 - the Asus logo appeared, and after that there were inscriptions about PC repair and diagnostics.
2 - the following inscription appeared:
"Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete."
Yesterday it took 3 hours and didn't work. I had to turn it off because I went to bed. Today I turned on this inscription again at 6:30 and continued until 12:00 in the afternoon.
At the moment, this is the inscription on the screen so far. What to do?
I had problems with an old computer, but either the PC itself was fixed or taken to a service. And this is the first time a laptop has broken in a year.
Help where you can. If there is a chance, somehow I can fix everything myself, otherwise I urgently need a PC for study this week. And I can't wait 2/3 weeks!
I would be grateful to everyone who can help in any way :)

Without competent diagnostics of the hard drive and / or the system as a whole, it will not be possible to determine the problem. If there are no important data (pictures / training materials) on the computer, then you can experiment yourself, but if you don’t understand this, or even more important files are present on the computer, then I recommend turning off the computer and handing it over to a specialist.

Well, a radical solution: change the hard drive, and rearrange Windows. Or we just rearrange (haven't tried it yet?), but I feel it's the hardest thing.

Perhaps the disk is corrupted, perhaps there are bads on it.
You can buy a cheap disk and put the OS there if there is nowhere. If you need to recover data, scroll through the questions, there was about recovery.
Your actions depend on what you need.... In any case, the disk can die at any moment, if it comes to life. Not a guru, you can wait for other answers and on other resources. Overclocker ixbt, etc.

.There is a chance to fix everything. you need either a service or a friend (which is almost the same thing). better call a friend. he will help.

I have been working in this area for 10 years, all signs indicate that you have a problem in your hard drive.
There is either a mechanic or a broken sector.
If the mechanics, then the hard drive will most likely make noise or emit noticeable vibrations on the case, during diagnostics, the seek error rate value will be over 9000
. bad sector.
And the utility cannot help because the reallocated sector count parameter has a maximum value (the threshold of remapped sectors has been reached)
A little telepathy
If you have a bad sector:
Most likely your device is over 3 years old. (Maybe ASUS K series)
If so, then the brand of the hard drive is most likely either HITACHI or HGST, which are not very reliable.
The device must be carried to a service center to replace the hard drive.
