Is it possible to replace the laptop matrix with another one?
I have an Asus K551LN laptop. I like everything about it, except for one thing - the screen. A disgusting matrix (in my humble opinion). The colors are distorted and I just can't achieve at least an approximate display the way I have on my work monitor. And since I am a programmer and I spend a lot of time behind the screen, and my eyes are already swept aside by shitty matrices, in this regard, the question is - is it really possible to change this matrix to some more modern one? e.g. IPS. How are the connectors? Are they unique to manufacturers or is there some kind of standard?
PS Just do not write "sell and buy a new one."

It should be possible to change, the easiest way is to contact a service center of some kind, they will either pick something up themselves or tell you, then you can buy it yourself on ebay or somewhere else inexpensively.
There is also an option, if you are considering, just buy a normal monitor.
I asked a similar question How to find out "Model No" from an IPS matrix for a laptop? and yes you can.
