Force a second router to work in the same wi-fi network?
There are two routers available.
TP-LINK 4300 Internet distributing via usb modem with openwrt 12.09 firmware and Asus wl-500gp router with firmware from Oleg 1.9.2.7
The essence of the problem: you need to configure Asus to work within the same local and wireless networks.

!!!IMHO!!!
It 's a bad idea to use routers with the same SSID, well, these are crutches .
If you really want to, then:
1) We put the same SSID.
2) Set manually different channels (if supported).
3) We cut the signal strength so that the devices overlap each other minimally and pray that the devices break the connection with a weak signal.
If you do not have a wire between the points, then you need WDS, but:
1) It cuts the network speed.
2) I have never seen a normal implementation in production, so that it would somehow really work reliably.
Some routers have repeater modes, but this depends on the device.
