Is it possible to replace the Intel Pentium b950 with some Intel core i7-2630qm?
Hello everyone, I'm not very knowledgeable in upgrading PCs and laptops, I have an Intel Pentium b950 on socket g2 on board, I read on the forums that a core i5-2540m would be a good option, but I would like a 4 core percentage. Is it possible to put some 4-core with a large TDP?

You can put everything that fits into the socket. but how it will be, and whether it will work at all, also depends on whether your processor is supported by the motherboard. read the description from mother for cpu support
Look through CPU-Z, for example, what is the south bridge on the motherboard. For each south there is a list of supported processors.
Roman Sibegatov , tell me, have you already installed the processor you wanted? What difficulties have arisen? Were there any overheating? The same question arose for me, I also want my percentage for a replacement, I rush between Core i5-2540M and Core i7-2630QM.
