Is it possible to replace the camera on a smartphone?
I have an android phone, the camera on it is average. Is it possible to buy a camera module like on some top-end android smart (for example, the latest nexus) and solder my phone?
I understand that more firewood is needed for this camera. But is it possible to port firewood from the nexus to my phone, or is it not so simple?

And then another protocol would come up, pinout, frequencies, the driver was in the android and ... in general, wow, how fun it will be: D
I am for separate meals. The phone cannot be a camera and you should not force it. Even if it works out, the quality of the pictures will not surprise anyone, and the best, as you know, is the enemy of the good. So why do you need it? To feel the heroic strength (do you have enough fleas?) Or to be branded as a rare pervert? =)
Actually it is possible, but it depends on the nuances. For example, I have a Huawei G500 with a very mediocre Aptina MT9P017 camera module and, in principle, it is replaceable. Moreover, other, better sensors are supported in the firmware. But - you need to find datasheets, select a suitable module in terms of dimensions and interface, find where you can buy it (the first search on ebay / ali did not give anything in my case), buy it, wait for the package and replace it without damaging anything in the device. You have to really, really want to do it in order to get so confused, I didn’t)
You don’t need to solder anything - as long as the connector matches + fasteners.
