Is it possible to recover hdd after crash?

After the fall of WD Elements 1 tb worked for 2 minutes and died. When you turn it on to the laptop (if you listen by putting it to your ear), the engine starts spinning and tries to read (2-3 seconds) and resets with the sound brrr (0.5 - 1 second). It does this for about half a minute and then turns off. Can it be repaired and what is the diagnosis?

Deformation or distortion when falling is likely, due to which the reading head scratched the pancakes (disk / and inside), like a cutter on a lathe, data can be restored in special. laboratories, it’s also possible to fix without data recovery, you can first just look, it can be fixed without particularly expensive equipment, but it’s more reliable, faster, and probably cheaper to buy a new one than to repair it, with such work, if without a special cabinet, then everything depends on accuracy and the attention of the master, whether he is able to prevent dust particles from entering before closing the hermetic chamber.

Since the drive is WD, you can contact their proprietary service center in Russia. If there is no visual mechanical damage, there is a chance for a warranty replacement (new disk).
I had such an experience with a disk that did not fall anywhere, and the symptoms were just that. Recognized as a warranty defect, gave a new one.
All information and warranty check here:
