Is it possible to rearrange the hard drive in DVD?

Hello. I have a Lenovo Ideapad 330 laptop. Recently, the hard drive has started to disappear. I disassembled the laptop and saw that the cable to the motherboard began to hang out, there was a plastic "comb" on the mount. Is it possible to rearrange the hard drive to DVD (of course, you need an adapter)? Or is there a way to secure the loop? I searched on the Internet, but there are only instructions for installing 2 hard ones, and one is enough for me. And will it be necessary to reinstall the system or finish building if transferred to DVD? Maybe a stupid question, but still I don't need surprises later :)

Look for hdd caddy for your laptop model. Alik is full of all sorts of different ones.
I have been on Lenovo z510 for several years already - the flight is normal. True, I have a second screw.
There should be no problems with the fact that you have this only disk, it's the same as if you had thrown a screw from one SATA connector to another in the desktop.

These adapter pockets are not a problem at all, they are sold in many online stores, the main thing is to choose the right size. First, pull out the drive and measure it, and then buy.

You can buy a new cable, or replace the cable from DVD to HDD

Adapters come in two sizes. What you need can be found out from the manufacturer, they differ in thickness by several mm.
It should also be noted that on some devices, in order for the HDD to work in the ODD connector, firmware is sometimes required. But in most cases, everything works and so.
