Is it possible to put m.2 ssd of different thickness in a laptop?

Hey! In general, the situation is this, I bought myself a laptop, it costs a ssd for 500gb m2 1.5mm thick, but this ssd filled up and I looked after myself a new one even cooler and faster, but it has a thickness of 2.3mm. Can you put it on a laptop?

It depends on how this laptop is arranged, maybe a couple of millimeters or even centimeters of free space above the SSD slot, or maybe the keyboard lies on top of it and almost presses (but this is unlikely, otherwise when typing on the keyboard it was possible it would be easy to crumble this SSD by constantly transmitting impulses from the fingers to it from above).
