Is it possible to put an SSD as the only one?

Good afternoon!
The other day I decided to upgrade my old laptop and decided to completely abandon the HDD in favor of the WD Blue SSD [WDS500G2B0A]
Question: is it possible to put an SSD as the only drive without an HDD instead of a drive?
