Is it possible to promote a subdomain on Google?

On the promotion there is a site that sells wholesale jewelry. Recently, a client made a subdomain of the main site in order to retail thermal cookware.
Tell me, is it realistic to promote such subdomains in Google organic search results for some high-frequency queries, and besides, if the topic is competitive?

Good afternoon. Look at the Top 10 in the search results for your competitive queries - if there are subdomains, then it's real. If the top contains only internal or main pages of the main domains, then it is better to build on this.

the level of the subdomain does not matter, all addresses, whether it be name.com or aloha.baby.ya.durak.name.com or name.com/ku/cha/page/down/in the search results, are promoted according to the same scheme.

It is realistic to promote, however, in my opinion, jewelry and thermal dishes are in no way connected, so it would be worth registering a separate domain. Another thing is if they are sold under the same brand, but this is unlikely)
