Is it possible to process radio frequencies on a microcontroller?

Tell me, is it possible to process radio frequencies (long, medium waves) on RISC 8-33MHz microcontrollers?
And completely programmatically, almost without external analog components (specialized microcircuits)?

No, since you need to perform the Hilbert and Fourier transforms, and they require very large resources. The Fourier transform is implemented in the Pion-DSP receiver, on stm32f407 - a clock frequency of 168 MHz. With Gilbert it is even worse, it can be implemented on FPGA, DSP, or as in SDR receivers on digital elements.

There is an article about SDR receiver on AVR: www.elektor-magazine.com/fileadmin/E-book_AVR_Soft...
