What to do with old lithium-ion cans?

Dismantling old rubbish on the balcony, I found a bunch of old laptop batteries.
Obviously, all the service life has expired, plus a deep discharge in the cold does not bode well.
What to do with them? Just throw it away dumbly, they will rush somewhere.
Is it possible to somehow use banks for their intended purpose, or is their degradation irreversible?
