Is it possible to power a 6v device from 7.4v?

There is such a shield for arduino, to control 16 servo drives
www.adafruit.com/products/1411
It has separate logic and servo power. The logic is powered by 5v from the arduino. Separate terminals are provided for the servo power supply.
On the board and in the description it is indicated that the available voltage to power the servo is 5-6 volts.
Is it possible to connect 7.4v?
If not, then how to convert the voltage 7.4v -> 6v (considering that the total servos will consume 2-3A)?
UPD: I don't have a multimeter at hand, so I had to check it with a scientific poke method. Everything turned out to be much simpler - the power from the terminals is directly connected to the pins of the servos.
It turns out that you can safely connect 7.4v when using the appropriate servos.
Another question is brewing: how will a 4.8~6V servo react when connected to 7.4v?

If there is a voltage regulator on the board, then most likely you can.
If it is not there - you need to buy and solder.
If it is still there, make sure on the datasheet that it can pass 4A through itself (with a margin). If not, replace with a more powerful one.
