1) Forget XP 64 is a stillborn baby.
2) The portability of a program depends primarily on the program itself.
3) In my opinion, it is impossible to update the OS from 32 to 64, i.e. you will have to set the axis to zero and drag the software with handles. You can't move an office like that.

No
It's easier and more efficient to migrate to another hardware - another motherboard, processor, memory and the same Windows XP on the same HDD with the same installed software.
Or migrate to a virtual machine.

Virtualize the system. If my memory serves me right - there is a simple HDD2VHD application that cuts the image directly from a running system.
And in order for the OS to start in the VM, run sysprep on the PC before virtualization.
