Actually the essence of the issue in the topic. Why don't you ask me XP. And is it possible to transfer programs from xp to 7 and 8?

1) Forget XP 64 is a stillborn baby.
2) The portability of a program depends primarily on the program itself.
3) In my opinion, it is impossible to update the OS from 32 to 64, i.e. you will have to set the axis to zero and drag the software with handles. You can't move an office like that.

Virtualize the system. If my memory serves me right - there is a simple HDD2VHD application that cuts the image directly from a running system.
And in order for the OS to start in the VM, run sysprep on the PC before virtualization.
