Is it possible to make AR based on a scan of a room?

The essence of the idea is to create a 3D model of the room using photogrammetry and use this scan to create augmented reality. Is it possible?
As I understand it, you need to somehow track the camera in space using CV, and display additional scene objects.
But where to dig about this? Or how to google it correctly?
