Is it possible to make a shooter in Java?

Hello everyone, there are a lot of 3D shooters in VK that seem to be implemented in unity and c ++.
So I had a question, is it possible to make a high-quality shooting game or strategy such as DOTA 2 or STALKER in JAVA, no matter online or not. Of course, both are better. Thank you!
