Is it possible to learn to "turn off others"?
Hello everyone
I often find myself thinking that some extraneous sound is preventing me from studying / working. For example, the chatter of a neighbor from below or something else. I kind of start to sharpen my hearing on him, without wanting it myself, and wait until he stops talking (or put on headphones).
Question: is it possible to somehow learn not to notice the sounds around you or learn to concentrate on one thing? Maybe some tutorials or books?

Something reminds ... a cartoon )))
In general, google attention training, meditation, other psychology and learn to let the "noise" pass by.
Eliminate the source of the noise. To hell with hypnosis and the ability of the brain to remove noise from the auditory canals. Why load the brain with another task besides learning. Seriously, are the neighbors noisy? Go put them in ... zdyuley. A person needs silence to concentrate and in general for a couple of hours a day so that the psyche rests.
find what is really important and interesting to you, and no one will ever be able to distract you from this,
no one can distract you from sitting on the toilet, because for you this is a vital process, like this with everything else - do not spray yourself and do not spend your life doing something you don't want to do so much that you look for any excuse to score
