Is it possible to install opensuse on a disk partition with mbr markup?

There is a laptop, the laptop has windows 7, the disk layout is mbr, the disk space is divided into 3 volumes. On one of the volumes I want to install opensuse. So, during the installation of opensuse, where you can select / create partitions, it is written in red letters that all three partitions will be deleted and then the disk will be marked in gpt, etc. Naturally, this arrangement does not suit me, I need two working OSes, but a virtual machine do not want to use: long, dreary, and even those. The characteristics of the laptop leave much to be desired.
I have been reading on the Internet for a long time on this issue, many write that it is impossible to mark part of the disk in gpt, and leave part in mbr, which is logical. But somehow people put other unix OSes on top of windows 7, or is it impossible in principle? Windows 7 only works on mbr, linux in my experience on gpt.
