Is it possible to install a processor with less power consumption?

There is a motherboard with a processor with a consumption of 84W. Is it possible, say, to put a processor with a power consumption of 50W or less. Won't burn?

@vkn

Thank you, you cheered me up) You
can put it ... just before you buy, consult, for example, on this site and indicate which motherboard is available and which processor you plan to purchase. Personally, I would not change the percentage in this case.
