Is it possible to insert a GIF into a Figma layout?

Hey!
Figma writes that you can import GIFs, why when inserted into a layout, the animation is lost and the picture is static, in the presentation too.
Who faced? Is it possible to insert a gif and how to make the animation work. In the sketch, as far as I know, there is such a plugin.

Looks like a GIF can't animate in Figma.
