I read somewhere that it is possible to crack an encrypted archive only with kali linux?
Does anyone know about this?

Rar seems to be the prerogative of Windows, while kali is a set of software for hacking and security auditing. See www.crark.net . If the speed does not suit you, look for brutforce + rar + gpu
