Is it possible to get DMA5 on a netbook with US15W in Windows 7?
The problem is that in Windows 7 hard drives only work in DMA4 mode, although DMA5 starts up in native XP.
Acer Aspire One 751h netbook based on the US15W . SATA is not supported. As I understand it, some separate PCI-IDEtoSATA controller is used, I didn’t find any special drivers or mentions, it is defined in the system as a “standard dual-channel PCI IDE controller”.
I tried to connect two 100% working disks, which in another laptop work in DMA5 and in Windows 7.
No old registry keys, such as MasterDeviceTimingModeAllowed, help. Intel INF Update installed both from the manufacturer's website and the latest ones.
Perhaps someone solved such a problem? What else can you try?
