Is it possible to FULLY manage virtual machines in vmware ESXI via CLI/SSH?

Good afternoon!
I have needs to do the following via CLI/SSH:

  • Create virtual machines with one of the predefined hardware sets
  • Add memory, disk to virtual machines
  • Change the number and composition of network interfaces
  • Get information about virtual machines: name, creation date, owner, current status, TTX (disks, axis, RAM, percent)
  • Extinguish, pause, run virtuals, make a clone, make a backup / snapshot
  • Add memory, disk to virtual machines

Studying the manuals led to a limited functionality vim-cmd or PowerCLI. vim-cmd allows you to view some of the information you need, turn it off or pause it. But I did not find how to clone, create a new one according to a template, add or change equipment. PowerCLI has more powerful functionality, but it works in windows environment. And I have a key requirement of the task - to do it on command via SSH, which comes from the FreeBSD / linux server or via CRON on the hypervisor itself. Computers with windows should not be categorically!

I broke my whole head, I went through a bunch of Google Yandex - I just can’t find a decent solution. Help out, brothers!
