Is it possible to format the link field, and if so, how?

The field has the "Link" type and it contains links to files received via REST, which are outrageously long - I would like to use the ^a^ html tag, but the "Link" type field does not support tags. What can be done in this situation?

Unfortunately, this cannot be used for this field type, however, you can use any of the HTML / BB type fields and display it there as you like.
