Is it possible to file a pci-e x2 connector to connect an adapter to x4 for ssd m2?
Hi guys. I ordered 2 ssd m2 disks from Ali and adapters for pci-e x4 on one I wanted to put win on another nix. The motherboard has only x16 and x2 connectors. I figured out the first disk, stuck it in the additional x16 slot. How to be with the second?. Can I cut the x2 connector to fit the adapter?

Pay attention to the "Protocol Description".

is dangerous:
1. Short-circuit and burn everything.
2. Will not work https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2 -
"...M.2 includes PCI Express 4x (4 lanes)..."and want to hang on 2x. BUT, pay attention to "M.2 card keys and provided interfaces" , there if a B key SSD (SATA and PCIe x2) can work.
