Is it possible to disable the highlighting of folders and files with a shorter name in the Creators Update?

After updating Windows 10 to the Creators Update, I noticed an innovation that was inconvenient for me: folders and files with a shorter name are captured if they fall into the selection area.
Is there a way to turn this off so that only the folder whose name falls directly into the selection area is selected?
