Is it possible to disable shadows in the game forcibly?

Hello. There is a Mafia II game, and not a very powerful PC. In other games, completely disabling shadows gave a noticeable increase in FPS, but in Mafia II, shadows in the game settings are not completely disabled. Is it possible to turn it off by editing any game config or using the nvidia control panel? Or alternatively, perhaps there is some specialized software?
Ps added a bit of performance by removing some Apex Physx effects (glass, smoke). Is it possible to do the same with shadows? Fix any file. After all, once in the game settings there are several options for shadow settings (weakest, medium, maximum), then somewhere this treasured file lies, in which you can set zero values?
