Is it possible to create trunks through Asterisk Rest API?

To create a trunk, I usually edit sip.conf. I learned that ARI is available with the release of version 13, but what kind of animal is this? Reading topics on Habré did not lead to anything. It was only said:

Consider the categories of operations available in ARI:
Asterisk
Bridges (bridges)
Channels (channels)
Devices (endpoints)
Device states (device states)
Events (events)
Mailboxes (mailboxes)
Playbacks (playbacks)
Recordings (recordings)
Sounds (sounds)

But what that means, I have no idea. There are few examples in RuNet, but the bourgeoisie did not look for
Is it necessary to write something in sip.conf when using ARI? How to set up ARI?
For example: I have a megaphone number, it is possible to use sip through the multiphone service. Question . How do I set up Asterisk so I can try things with this number. To accept incoming calls, for example, and so that information about this call is displayed in the console . What is needed for this?

@krll-k

Trunks cannot be created via ARI
They can be "dynamically" created by configuring Asterisk RealTime Config using a database.
