Is it possible to cool network equipment this way?

Hello! Recently connected optical internet. They put me such a thing ce8ab81709fc44a1a853af6230158ded.jpg
. It's summer now, the house is so stuffy that there is nothing to breathe. Accordingly, I notice that during this period the network equipment (routers, etc) gets very hot, especially when downloading large files. And it heats up to such temperatures that if you smell the case, it smells like plastic. I know that this is not good for capacitors. So that's what I did: I took the cooler from the computer, and put it a little higher than the piece of iron (which is in the photo). There are holes on the piece of iron, so it cools well.
Here is my question, will blowing the network glands with a cooler harm?
PS: You might think that if there is no active cooling on the hardware, it is not needed there. But I saw Chinese power supplies for computers, in which there are two dozen parts, the rest is replaced by jumpers)))
