Is it possible to connect 8+6pin PCI-E power if it comes from 6pin PSU?

Hello. There is a power supply for 850W and a video card with two power connectors: the first 8pin, the second 6pin. The cables to the video card go from the 6pin connector on the PSU, and at the same time the 8pin connector on the video card is connected as 6+2pin (I read that 6+2 would be like 8, but correct me if not). Wouldn't such a connection carry limited power or something like that?

It is possible if it has a PCI-E marking.

No, it won’t, 6 + 2 connectors are made to save money, the user himself chooses how much he needs 6 or 8.
