Is it possible to completely switch to Linux?
Now I have win10 and Linux Mint on my laptop in parallel, I want to increase my level of * nix systems and always use Linux in business, I really like it, but the fact is that my job is to program MK, and software on Linux for this no. So, can I have problems at work if I use Win7 in a virtual machine. I'm mainly concerned about the transfer via UART and USB interfaces for debugging and firmware. Someone does the same as I want?

Virtualbox normally forwards USB-uart interfaces. We develop embedded for several devices, and basically everyone sits on Linux, if necessary, we launch a virtual machine with Windows, and everything works.
Programming microcontrollers under Linux. I don't use mastdayka at all. CHADNT?
PS What kind of small controllers are so cunning that it is impossible to program in Linux?
I think port forwarding will solve the problem. And what MKs? It seems that everything you need under linux is there, or do you have something specific?

I write in Sublime Text (a python program on the screen) in assma with the corresponding package (see screen), I upload it to the AVRDude controller (console, because it's more convenient, but there is also a GUI).
Worth Gentoo. Windows, like other distros, is not on the screw.
If you really need Windows from Linux, then the best option is of course vd-t + QEMU + SPICE. I use it myself - I'm happy as an elephant. You can forward any usb, pci, network cards to the virtual machine, the shared buffer works, the performance loss of the virtual machine is ~ 5%. You can also tie GNS3 if you need to make a tricky network. The only thing is that this is all pretty cumbersome to set up and I still haven’t been able to transfer Nvidia Optimus to the virtual machine (mb it’s even impossible).
There is another option to use Wine - sometimes it works better than native Windows, and sometimes it blunts, which is just terrible.
