Is it possible to amplify the sound in mac os?

I immediately draw your attention to the fact that the question is not about the volume limit in the system, but about the real amplification of the signal.
Those who like to listen to high-quality electronic music know firsthand what it means to turn the equalizer for 3 hours, what real deep bass is and that the sound should be not just loud, but amplified so that some frequencies do not interrupt others.
There are no questions with windows - we install the native driver, and then the setting depends only on you.
With linux, it's a little more complicated, but with a little googling, you can find and play all sorts of levels, equalizers and preamps for all sorts of alsa and pusleaudio in the system. And on some zvukovuha sound is more powerful than under Windows.
With poppy, the story is the following. On a computer with Realtek ALC892 and an external amplifier, after installing the hackintosh, the sound was simply disgusting, not even close to what happened on other systems on the same hardware.
At first I thought it was a hackintosh, but it turned out to be worse.
In my hands were 2 macbooks - one from about 2011, the second one from the last (2013) worth ~ 100 thousand rubles. No matter how much I tortured them, I could not get a normal sound. And this despite the fact that the sound was output through an external amplifier, which you will not carry with you along with your laptop.
Googling, I managed to find a couple of forum threads on the English-language Internet where people complained that on their freshly bought poppies for $2.5k the sound was an order of magnitude worse than in cheap Chinese players when connected to similar equipment (from headphones to concert halls ). The opensource driver VoodooHDA
pushed a little closer to the solution , in which there are all sorts of twists like Realtek HD Audio Manager, namely, a twist called PCM, which really makes the sound louder, without wheezing. Still, the result was far from acceptable. The commonly offered solutions such as Boom , Hear , AU Lab + Soundflower did not help either . Has anyone come across? Any solutions?

You need to use an external audio interface. USB, Firewire - any. The goal is not to use the built-in audio and system controls. And in this interface, turn to your health what you want.

not quite clear what exactly you want to do?
Frequency response to wind for yourself? on analog? for what? play music from VKontakte in the concert hall? at the same time, phrases like "you will not carry an amplifier with you" are completely confusing

The power of the open sound on the bass depends on the physical. the size of the speakers, which are obviously too small in any beech. It is useless to expect from beech speakers to pump the club premises.
Therefore, I see two options:
1. headphones;
2. you can try to drive all the audio through the plugins of multi-band compression and noise-shaping for "psychoacoustic" amplification - it will seem louder and more powerful. For example, BBE Sonic Maximizer - used their "iron" devices, and in the meantime, out, the plugins have matured.
