Is it possible to add new windowing functionality to Ubuntu?

How to make the window occupy half the screen when pressing hotkeys (for example, win + left equals the window to the left side, etc.) using Ubuntu lite.

Why are Win + Ctrl + arrows not suitable for you?

If I understood correctly, then Ubuntu lite uses the openbox window manager, which means you have to edit the config of this manager, the config file should be located in ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml .
As an option, use the obkey or obconf utility , but I'm not sure if it can be found in the official repositories.
Here is the openbox window manipulation documentation .
