Ubuntu - how to replace HP LaserJet 2200 printer drivers from LiveCD?
The situation is this:
After installing Ubuntu 13.10, an HP LaserJet 2200 printer connected via USB prints some kind of heresy, similar to the control directives of some language. Installing HPLIP partially solves the problem - the same nonsense is still printed from PDF - and then until the first reboot, then HPLIP disappears and an automatic detected printer appears instead. Reinstalling Ubuntu doesn't help.
But when booting from the same DVD in Live mode (Try Ubunty), the printer is automatically detected and prints any files normally.
Question: where and with what commands to copy the files and settings for this printer, applied when booting in LiveCD mode, and where to drop them in the installed system?
PS If this is of any help, then the previous Ubuntu 12.04 with the same printer worked fine.

You can extract the ppd file from livecd and put it in ubuntu 13.10. The PPD can be found in /etc/cups/ppd/.
But it's easier to install the foo2zjs package and specify the foomatic/postscript driver.
