Is it possible now to "catch a virus" in win10 through a browser?

Hello.
In the good old days, you could infect Windows simply by visiting different sites and not running the left exe.
Is this possible with modern versions of Windows and browsers like chrome/ff etc.?

Yes, you can.
Nobody guarantees 100% protection.

And what has changed? Windows didn't get any better. Unless you can install extensions in FF - noscript for example, blur, noflash - there will be some guarantee.
