Is it possible in Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 to bring the camera closer to an object by first selecting it on the stage or in layers?

I literally want to do the following, select an object and press keyboard shortcuts to bring the camera closer to it, as it were, based on its proportions. Is there a similar functionality in Adobe Illustrator CC 2015?
For example, zooming the camera to the letter P in Affinity Designer.
