Is it necessary to specify a link to ssl certificates in *.crt format in a nodeJS application when switching to HTTPS?

I am migrating my nodeJS application to the HTTPS communication standard. The application uses Socket.io. Do I need to specify links to ssl certificates, which also need to be placed on the server?

without a certificate there will be no httpS.
