Is it necessary to convert from Flac to Wav?

Good afternoon. I wanted to ask you a question that misleads me. It concerns audio formats and codecs, and specifically Flac and Wav. I understand the difference between them. Wav is a lossless format, and Flac is like an archiver that compresses audio, but also lossless. And I still can’t understand how it is to compress without loss? I read a lot of articles, but I didn’t understand anything, I would like to see it schematically, if possible. We recorded, say, a voice, saved it in Flac. So do I have to decode it to Wav afterwards? Indeed, by ear, they essentially do not differ from each other and also in wave form, I looked through Adobe Audition 2018. I hope for your answers!) I still have to figure it out!

@Maniva

Of course it should! Only it won't be easy...
You've seen the archived files, haven't you? Not? Well then ... how can I explain to you ... Just imagine: they are no different. At all.
Is it clear now?
