I'm going to start looking for my first job as a front-end developer soon. I have all the necessary technologies, but due to lack of experience, I don’t know how to apply design patterns. Is it so critical and is knowledge of patterns necessary for a novice developer?

If the question is about necessity, then the answer is no.
if you can, then the answer is yes.
from beginners do not expect super knowledge. they are expected to be able to absorb knowledge and not weep at criticism (which can very often take extreme forms).
