Is it correct to place the working folder directly in the OneDrive folder?
At the same time, I will solve two problems at once: automatic backup (in case of computer failure) and the availability of projects from another computer.
Folder with php projects. I use PHPStorm - it writes file changes right on the go. So I thought - will this affect the synchronization? I just don’t know how it is implemented, I’m afraid it will kill some file ...
Or can it use another cloud? I use OneDrive because is already in Windows, and 5GB is enough for php files.

5 years of working documents in onedrive + i.disk, personal archive - in a terabyte mailer, everything is constantly synchronized.
With rare synchronization glitches, there will simply be 2 copies of the file, from which one unnecessary one will then have to be deleted.
Better create a junction link or a symlink to a normal folder, then you will have another "master" copy.
I apologize for what kind of idiocy you came up with, use git and github or bitbucket and don’t suffer from garbage
