Is IPoE on Ubnuntu Server configured automatically?

The question is very nagging, albeit stupid. Sorry if so. A separate port with IPoE, white ip comes out of the cisco provider directly to the server with ubuntu 18.04. Does it need to be configured when installing Ubuntu or is it automatically cut into it, as if it were cut from a switch behind NAT?

If a DHCP server is running on the provider's cisco, it will automatically "get cut".
If there is no DHCP, then you need to statically configure it on Ubuntu.
