Is Dishonored worth playing?
The question may seem stupid, but please do not criticize, but just share your advice.
The bottom line is simple: I bought Dishonored because of a decent rating and good reviews, went through the first mission, where you have to get out of the prison, and, as a result, was very disappointed. In short, I didn’t like everything - from an outdated at least three graphics for a year to a primitive gameplay. Alas, there is not a single thing that would interest and attract attention.
Tell me, please, will the game become noticeably better after the first mission, or will everything continue like this?

Dishonored was named "Game of the Year" by the editors of our site.
I advise you to keep playing. The game is good. You can go in several ways (kill everyone or pass in stealth mode). Personally, I liked the game.
Will it become more interesting further - in my opinion it will.
The game is really great, I advise you to continue - I think you will not be disappointed
I have not played it, but I know from experience that often the first missions in games are always boring, not interesting. My objective opinion is to go through a couple more missions to make sure that the game is not interesting or vice versa and make your choice.
This mission is really boring, but further - more interesting. One tip - try to complete the game with variety: using all the skills, weapons and the artifact given to you (I think not a spoiler). Especially because of the artifact, the game will become more atmospheric.
Haven't played but watched reviews. Everywhere they praised the variety of ways in which you can complete the mission, in terms of killing or neutralizing opponents, stealth or action. It was also mentioned that the further situation and even the next missions often depend on such choices (for example, during the action they said that there would be more opponents in the missions). In general, all these nuances IMHO cannot be tasted after the first mission.
In modern games, there are indeed stages of the plot - the first missions are important for learning, you are given new chips in turn so that you learn gradually. In such cases, often the interesting begins immediately after the training (to bring back those who are bored), although not always.
What is interesting - in some games they went the other way - the first levels - you have all the possibilities and you are cool, and then, according to the plot, you lose everything and start swinging again. A striking example is one of the need for speed series - there we started on a BMW M5, one of the best Pepelats, and after the first race it was taken away from us and given a starter kit. But something I got carried away.
The thought was - give the game a chance, award-winning games are rarely worse than average.
