Is design worth it?
Such a situation, I want to make a website and, accordingly, I need some kind of layout (design) of the site.
But I'm not friends with photoshop, and always typeset "out of imagination". It turns out that drawing a design is an extra intermediate point in the way of creating a site, in my case.
So the question is - is it worth drawing the design of the site, if without it it turns out to make up the site?

Photoshop you need to know, it's a fact. And typesetting without Photoshop - yes, you can.
However, at least on paper, throw in the main concept, because if you have too dense paragraphs, you will quickly fix it in css, but if you suddenly decide "to move this block, and here is a photo of a nuclear explosion and fire, fire is everywhere", then there may be problems.
It all depends on the specialization. A designer who knows how to typeset can really try to make websites right away without rendering, live. A layout designer, who is far from design, will hardly be able to get something of high quality at the output without a rendered layout.
In your case, judging by the question, the second situation. Therefore, try to still make friends with Photoshop or order a design on the side.
It is rare when you really need a layout for layout. I think that it is needed if you need to type up complex modular structures, in which "you can't figure it out without 100 grams" ...

Yes, it’s worth at least drawing a structure. There are a lot of online tools for this.
Or order a design
Make friends with Photoshop, the right thing.
I hope you are using css frames? It would suit you very well.
My opinion is that you should not bother with the design and make the functionality. On the other hand, the aesthetic part is also important, although not as business logic.
From here comes a simple solution, use CSS frameworks, for example, the same Bootstrap.
And the design should already be done when it is clear that the site works and has its own audience.
ps Of course, if your site is not a designer's portfolio))
